Update (12-29-06): He has died. Pray for his soul.

Please pray for the dying Rev. Fr. Carlo Ly from the Parish of Queen of Peace, Tanjong Katong. Fr. Carlo suffered a stroke last Sunday (10/01/06). His condition has since worsened; his left brain is continuing to bleed and he is immobile. The doctor in charge of him- Dr. K.M. Chan has told us to be prepared for the worst and that only a miracle would cure him.

I visited Fr. Carlo this afternoon with a friend and we prayed the Rosary and the traditional Litany for the dying by his bed. For those you can, do visit Fr. Carlo. He is admitted at the (Catholic) Mount Alvernia Hospital, Thomson Road. St. Claire's room, 5th floor. Italian and Latin grabs his attention.

Fr. Carlo is indeed a holy priest whose zeal for the Lord has always been buring in his heart. Despite his old age and dementia, he would insist on con-celebrating daily mass. The last time I met him before he was admitted to the hospital was a few days ago in the Sacristy; he gave me a blessing for my vocation (in Latin!).

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
